The art of chopsticking

China preparations are underway. Today we sat together as a team and discussed the practical matters regarding our upcoming departure and our following three months in Shanghai. We were able to ask questions like "What time do we meet at the airport?" and "Will we need to bring towels?" as well as have things cleared up like "YES, you can buy tampons there." and "No you can't find lotion without whitening." Ahh the adventure begins! I have a six month multiple entry Chinese visa in my passport and I'm practicing my chopstick skills...I'm ready to go! We have a packed schedule but I'm still determined to explore like crazy. If any of you have been to Shanghai and have some hot tips, please comment and share!
Lots of love, Sky

Bamboo One

We have chosen our project groups for Shanghai which we will be working in for the first half of the Outpost. I'm in a group with Gregers, Frankie, Anna, Nana and Johannes (see photo below) working for a toy company called HaPe. We will be making a marketing and branding strategy for one of their product lines.

KaosPilot Team13 Outpost 2008: Shanghai

As most of you who are reading this are friends and family of mine, you know that since August of 2006 I have been studying at the international business school in Denmark called the KaosPilots. As I am now in the fourth semester of the education, I will soon be going to Shanghai along with my 35 class mates in Team13. We will be spending three months there on an outpost. Below I have posted our calendar so that you can see what our schedule looks like. The theme for our stay in China will be Social Innovation. During these weeks we will work for clients, explore Shanghai and turn data into knowledge. This is only the beginning...stay tuned!
